Dexter Girls’ Tennis Finishes Fourth at Holly Regional

The Dexter girls’ tennis team came home in fourth place at Division 1 regional at Holly last week.

The Dreadnaughts finished with 11 points. State power Holly swept all the flights and finished with 32 points, followed by South Lyon East with 19 and Milford 16.

Emily Herold led the Dreadnaughts with a second-place finish in three-singles. She won her first two matches before falling to her counterpart from Holly in the finals.

Erin Evans (1), Maggie Tucker (2), and Lauren Filipiak (4) all reached the quarterfinals before bowing out. Sage Roperti/Sydney Holmes also reached the quarters in two-doubles.
