The Dexter girls track team picked up a pair of big wins, while the boys dropped a pair in an SEC tri-meet last week.
The girls defeated rival Chelsea and Ypsilanti Lincoln. Nicole Bow won three events to lead the girls. She won the 100 and 300 hurdles races and won the long jump.
Megyn Scafasci won the 800 and Anna Varitek won the 1600. Emma Young won the high jump and Abbie VanNoord the pole vault.
The boys had a rough time.
Ethan Dunn won the pole vault and Cameron O’Day the long jump for the Dreads lone victories.
Wilson Kasischke was second in the high jump and 300 hurdles, Nathan Larson second in the 3200, and Jimmy Fortuna-Peak second in the 100 dash.
The girls had a strong showing at the Mason Invite with a fourth-place finish, while the boys were 10th.
Bow won the high jump and pole vault, while Madison Wright was second and Teagan Holman third in the pole vault.
Lauren Bazick, Maggie Jordan, Wright, and Bow teamed to finish second in the 4×100.
Oliver Bishop won the pole vault for the boys, while Henry Sheldon was second.
