Dexter Golfers Compete at D1 State Finals

The Dexter boys’ golf team had a rough time at the Division 1 state finals at The Fortress in Frankenmuth, but still finished in the top 18 teams in the state.

The Dreadnaughts finished with a team score of 715, in the Finals that were won by Lake Orion with 606.

Jack Kolka led the Dreads with a two-day total of 168. He shot a round of 81 on day two for the low round of the weekend for Dexter.

Matt Keogh followed with a two-day score of 179 and a low round of 85, while Kyle Knapp shot 183 with a low of 90. Joey Fracassi shot 192 and a low of 93 and Jack Evans 194 and a low score of 92.

It was the first time the Dreadnaughts had qualified for the state finals since 2011.
