During the month of October, there were 244 calls for service (including traffic stops). Deputies conducted 95 traffic stops during this time with 37 citations issued.

Noteworthy events in Dexter City during last month include:

  • On 10/21/19 Deputies took a report of inappropriate touching of a 12-year-old by another student while at Dexter High School. This incident is still under investigation.
  • On 10/24/19 SRO Deputy Visel took a malicious destruction of property complaint at Mill Creek Middle School. A plastic shed and a rake had been damaged. Juvenile suspects have been identified and the damaged property has been subsequently replaced by the suspect’s parents.
  • On 10/24/19 Deputies handled a threats complaint in the 2300 block of Bishop Circle West. An employee was overheard making threats of shooting people in the workplace. Deputies investigated the complaint and determined that the subject is not believed to be an actual threat to others. The subject was subsequently fired from the business.
  • On 10/28/19 Deputies took a larceny from an automobile complaint in the 2000 block of Bishop Circle West. A work truck had been broken into overnight. Tools and equipment were removed from the vehicle. There are currently no leads in this incident.
