The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Department submitted their report for the month of September to Dexter City Council at their Oct. 28 meeting.

For the month of September sheriff deputies responded to 231 calls for service, 88 of which were traffic stops. Of those 88 traffic stops, 24 citations were issued.

  • On September 12, 2019 deputies were dispatched to the 7000 block of Dexter-Ann Arbor Road reference a sexual assault which was reported that occurred on August 28, 2019. The incident occurred between two coworkers. The incident is still under investigation.
  • On September 24, 2019 deputies were dispatched to the 8000 block of Main Street for an embezzlement complaint at Aubree’s Pizza. During the course of the investigation, the suspect repaid all monies taken illegally and was subsequently fired. Aubree’s declined prosecution of the case once made whole by the suspect.
