Dexter schools want input on learners

By Sun Times News Staff

Dexter Community Schools is looking for some help.

The district wants to create a, “Profile of a DCS Learner.”

According to DCS Superintendent Chris Timmis, every household in DCS should have received a postcard inviting them to participate in an interactive survey helping the district answer the question, “What are the most important skills, knowledge and character traits Dexter Community School graduates need to be successful in their futures?”

At the June 10 school board meeting, Timmis gave an update on this. He said the interactive survey allows participants to submit their thoughts, rate other submissions and watch the real-time rankings of thoughts during the Thought Exchange.

“Please take a few minutes to share what you believe to be the most important skills, knowledge and character traits our graduates need to be successful in their futures,” Timmis asked the DCS community in his May 29 superintendent letter.

The survey closes on June 21. All thoughts and ratings shared are confidential.

If you are a DCS resident and have not received this postcard and would like to participate, contact DCS at (734) 424-4100.
