The Dexter girls’ soccer team is two wins from clinching the SEC White title as the Dreadnaughts swept a pair of league contests last week.

Dexter improved to 9-0 in SEC White. They lead second-place Pinckney by two games with three to play. Wins over Ypsilanti and Tecumseh this week will clinch the league title before the Dreads travel to Pinckney Tuesday, May 22.

The Dreadnaughts opened the week blanking Ypsilanti Lincoln 8-0.

Dexter scored six first-half goals as they cruised to the win.


McKenna Graham and Abigail Tamer scored two first-half goals each, while Sammi Corcoran and Molly McCormick scored one each for the 6-0 halftime lead.

Kalista Feight and Lucy Fuller scored in the second half to end the game in a mercy.

Kendall Wise earned the shutout in net for the Dreads.

The Dreadnaughts then blanked rival Chelsea 2-0.

Wise was again in net for the shutout. Emma Ripka and Claire Ketzner scored goals for Dexter.
