Dexter Student Achieves Eagle Scout Rank


Jonathan Solsvig, 17, of Dexter, Mich., achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and was honored at an Eagle Scout Court of Honor ceremony in Franklin, Tenn., on February 4, 2018. Solsvig is a current member of Boy Scout Troop #448, Dexter, Mich.

For his Eagle Scout project Solsvig created a “Tree Identification Trail” and accompanying brochure in his former neighborhood in Franklin, Tenn. In addition to the project, he earned 31 merit badges. Only 4% of young men who join Boy Scouts achieve the rank of Eagle Scout.

Solsvig is a junior at Dexter High School and the son of Sarah and Keith Solsvig of Dexter, Mich.
