As more comfortable temperatures with plenty of sunshine arrived last Friday, many came to downtown Dexter to enjoy an evening of music and entertainment.
The Dexter Summer Concert Series, presented by the Dexter Area Chamber of Commerce, continued July 6 with the bands The Hangabouts and The Secrets, pounding out pop rock music for a festive audience to listen, dance or clap along.
Cindy Priddy from Ann Arbor, along with her Australian Shepherd were among those who came to the outdoor concert.
“This is something I can do and enjoy and bring my dog with me,” said Priddy of the event.
For the young and young at heart; Dexter Rocks, a community-building arts and crafts/scavenger hunt group, had a rock painting table available. The goal of the group is to get people from across the communities painting lots of rocks to be found with the intention of getting people out and enjoying the world around them.
The Dexter Summer Concert Series continues through August on Friday evenings beginning at 6:30pm. It is located at the Monument Park Gazebo in downtown Dexter.
