Dexter Swim Team Sixth at Huron Relays

The Dexter girls swim team came home with a sixth-place finish at the 17th Annual Huron Relays last week.

The Dreadnaughts are trying to overcome the loss of a majority of their top swimmers, but this meet featured almost all Division 1 teams.

Dexter was the top D-2 school with 312 points in the meet won by Saline with 412.

The top finisher for the Dreads was the 200-butterfly relay team of Theresa Rutz, Sam Durrant, Emma Sortor and Hailee Waters in third place.

Fourth place finishes went to the 200-back relay team of Jordan Maisch, Lauren Witte, Maddi Matos and Charlotte Schultz; the 200-medley team of Maisch, Zoe Michos, Schultz, and Sam Durrant; and the diving team of Elyssa Grossmann and Emily Rooney.

The 400 IM relay team of Kamille Balcom, Maisch, Witte, and Schultz was sixth, while the 800-free relay, the team of Allison Wyka, Hailee Waters, Elizabeth Higgins and Elizabeth Merz was also sixth.
