Synopsis of Action of the Dexter Township Board of Trustees Regular Board Meeting September 17, 2019

Called to order at 7:01 PM

Members Present: Supervisor Rider, Clerk Ceo, Treasurer Brushaber, Trustees Compton, Drolett, Gajewski and Mesko.

Supervisor’s Remarks: Chelsea District Library Board Packet was not included in our Township Board packet but is available.

Call to the Public: None

The Board took the following action: Approved the Agenda for September 17, 2019 Regular Board meeting; Approved the minutes from the August 20, 2019 Regular Board meeting; Accepted the Annual Audit Repo1i for FY 2018/19; Approved Resolution 19-555, a resolution to set the 2019 Dexter Township millage rates at 0.7827 mills for Allocated General Operating, 2.3906 mills for Voted Fire Services, 1.4118 mills for Voted Police Services; Approved the 2020 holiday schedule; Approved the repair of OWS unit #11 by Mr. Burch; Approved the appointments of Harley Rider, Tom Lewis, Jack West, and Andy Reiser as regular members to the Multi-Lakes Water and Sewer Authority Board and Linda Singer and Debra Ceo as alternate members with terms expiring December 31, 2023; Approved a lump sum payment to MERS in the amount of $200,000.00; Approved the sidewalk project with review reference drainage issues; Approved the refund request to Kevin Ferguson in the amount of $450.00; Approved a Special Board meeting for September 30, 2019 at 9am to discuss the draft zoning ordinance.

Board also authorized payment of: General Fund bills totaling $50,197.41, Fire Fund bills totaling $65,282.12, Police Fund bills totaling $40,714.50, Agency Fund bills totaling $2,098.32 and gross monthly payroll of $28,936.20.

Second Call to the Public: Tim Zaleski, Dexter Township resident, requested a copy of the draft

zoning ordinance.
