The Dexter volleyball team made it a clean sweep at the SEC White jamboree at Adrian last week going 7-0 on the day without losing a set.

The Dreadnaughts defeated Adrian 25-9, 25-21. Taylor Venuto led the Dreads with 11 kills and six digs. Brooklyn Brown finished with 10 kills, Quinn LaFontaine 14 assists, Sara Sheaffer nine assists, and Abby Herman three aces.

Dexter then defeated Tecumseh 25-10, 25-15, Venuto led with 11 kills, Beth Ankenbauer nine assists and five aces, and Kaitlin Delacy seven digs.

They downed Ypsilanti Lincoln 25-13, 25-16. Venuto had 10 kills, Brown eight kills and eight digs, Ankenbauer 10 assists and five aces.


Jackson was next 25-12, 25-11. Venuto had six kills, LaFontaine and Ashley Haralson six assists, Herman three aces, and Delacy seven digs.

Dexter blew away Ypsilanti 25-3, 25-14. Delacy led with five kills, LaFontaine and Ankenbauer three assists each, and Courtney Sharples three digs.

They took down Pinckney 25-17, 25-21. Venuto led with 10 kills and 10 digs, Brown eight kills, eight digs, and four aces, LaFontaine 13 assists, and Livvy Mellifont eight digs.

Going 6-0, set up a showdown with a 6-0 Chelsea squad in the final match.

Dexter took the match from their rival 25-21, 25-18. Venuto had 13 kills, Herman eight kills, Ankenbauer 19 assists, and six aces, and Mellifont eight digs.

Dexter improved to 14-2 on the season.
