Dexter Water Polo Earns Post Season Awards

One of the best seasons in Dexter men’s water polo history finished last week with the Dreadnaughts finishing in 5th place at the state tournament and with a 31-12 overall record on the season.

Three Dreadnaughts earned several postseason honors as a result of the strong season by the Dreads.



Sophomore goaltender Tony Golin was a second team regular season All-State member. He was an Honorable Mention on the All-State tournament team and a 1st team All-East Region goaltender.

Junior Mitchell Sterlitz was a second-team All-State for the regular season. He was also an Honorable Mention All-State tournament team member and first-team All-East Region selection.

Senior Captain Grisha Griffiths had a huge state tournament with 12 goals and was named to the 2nd-team All-Tournament squad. He was also an Honorable Mention All-East Region selection.
