Dexter Wrestlers Fifth at Parma Western

The Dexter wrestling team had a strong showing at Parma Western’s Jim Dewland Chaos Classic Saturday, January 5, coming home with a 5th place finishe out of ten teams.

The Dreadnaughts finished with 132 points, just 10 points behind 3rd place DeWitt. Parma Western won the event with 265 and Portage Central was second with 156.

Dexter was led by a pair of first place finishes.

Dylan Lornicz went 3-0 on the day and won the 125 pound bracket, improving his season record to 21-3.

Mark Young continued his strong season by going 5-0 on hte day to win at 215. He improved to 22-3 with the win.

Seeing some of his first action of the season at 285, Nathan Bauer went 4-1 and finished second, while Ethan Cameron went 2-1 on the day and finished second at 189. Jasper Howell also earned a second place finish at 152 with a 3-1 record.

Sixth place finishes went to Eli Yount at 119, Noah Drummond 130, and Colby Clark 135.
