The Little Green Apple Hallmark shop in Dexter will be closing.

This will be the second store, Country Market the first, since fall to close at the Dexter Crossing Shopping Center.

Ann-Marie Geisler, Little Green Apple’s director of operations, said Jan. 10, “Our lease is ending and we will be closing the store as of the end of February.”

“We appreciate the opportunity that Dexter has given us to serve them over the years,” Geisler said. “Our employees have built relationships with our customers that cannot be replaced. It has been and is our joy to assist our customers in celebrating and honoring the special people and memories in their lives.”

After taking over the business from her parents, Geisler grew the family business of Little Green Hallmark shops from four locations to over 20 shops in Michigan and Indiana. The Dexter location opened in April 2001, right next to Country Market, Geisler said. In 2013, they relocated the store to its current location.

The shop is at 7067 Dexter-Ann Arbor Road.

“Dexter is a wonderful community and we will miss our customers, but we hope that some will come to see us in our Brighton or Saline stores, or they can shop with us online at www.shoplittlegreenapple.com,” Geisler said.

In the meantime, she said they have some great sales going on at the Dexter location with items on sale 25 to 75 percent off.
