The Dexter boys’ basketball team bounced back from a tough loss to Saline last week by throttling Stockbridge 66-23 in a non-conference game Friday night.
The Dreadnaughts dominated the overmatched Panthers from the start, scoring seven points in the first 1:14 of the game and forcing an early Stockbridge timeout.
The Dreads did not let up, highlighted by a breakaway dunk by Caden Doll, the Dreadnaughts built a 19-6 lead after one.
The play became a little hectic in the second, but the Dreads righted the ship and closed out the quarter with triples by Brady Rosen and Drew Bishop to take a 35-13 lead into the half.
Dexter continued to pour it on in the third, outscoring the Panthers 14-6 to take a 49-19 lead into the final period.
The lead would grow to 40 in the fourth, forcing a running clock as the Dreads finished the rout.
Marco Lucchesi led Dexter with 18 points, including eight in the opening period.
Brady Rosen finished with 15 points and Jake Avery eight. Doll and Bishop each finished with six, Drake Doyle five, Nick Fileccia, Rory Tell, Zach Condron, and Josh Paquin two each.
Stockbridge was led by Kyle Lilley with eight and Hunter Winnie seven. Miguel Medina added six points and Chris Hall two.
