At age 79, passed away January 1, 2019 at St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea Hospital. He was born in Windsor, Canada on February 27, 1939 the son of Armend and Leah (LeBlanc) Janisse.  

On July 8, 1961 he married Diane J (Chauvin), and she preceded him in death. 

Surviving are his children: Donald Janisse of Chelsea, and Renee (Mike) Whipple of Chelsea; three grandchildren: Kyle, Lexi, and Kayla; loving companion, Donna “Cheech” Hogan; sister, Suzanne Berthiaume, brother-in-law, Stanley O’Brien, and sister-in-law, Bernice Janisse. 


In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter, Denise, sister, Pauline O’Brien, and brother, Roger Janisse.

Euclide served in the United States Army as Military Police from 1961-1964. He was self-employed in construction and was talented and creative. He built concession trailers, and also had an interest in classic cars and motorcycles. He built a customized motorcycle which he called the “EucMobile”. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially his hunting trips out west and for Canadian moose, boating, remote control airplanes, and horses. 

He had lived in the Chelsea area since 1989, moving from Westland, and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. 

Mass of Christian Burial will take place from St. Mary Catholic Church, Chelsea on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home on Monday, January 7, 2019 from 5-8 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m.
