Born and raised in the Northern Michigan town of Cadillac, he moved to New Orleans at 19 and spent the next 15 years fully immersing himself in the musical waters that flow through there.
Opening the evening is Ypsilanti-based singer-songwriter Sam Corbin. With influences ranging from the thought provoking troubadours of Greenwich Village to the soul singers of Detroit, Sam writes honest and meaningful songs drawn from day to day life. His most recent album titled “Let The Fire Burn Strong” released in the early winter of 2016 was named by John Bommarito (Ann Arbor’s 107.1 FM) as his #1 album of 2016.
