Washtenaw Families Against Narcotics Hosts Free Family Forum

From FAN

The Washtenaw County chapter of Families Against Narcotics (FAN) is hosting an upcoming family forum on May 10 at 7:00pm, that will focus on “turning the lights back on” through experiences of self-expression. This virtual interactive forum — including discussion, writing prompts and a workbook — will feature TEDx Speaker and Addiction Recovery Advocate Dylan Lundgren. “Addiction is a chronic state of isolation, disconnection and suppression. It’s like living in the darkness. Therapeutic experiences grounded in self-expression and contained in a safe way drastically improve metrics associated with recovery ” says Lundgren.

Intended for those in recovery and their family and friends, those that are professional addiction treatment professionals will also benefit from attending this free zoom forum. This forum will explore self-expression and the various principles that make it possible to integrate it into treatment cultures in a powerful way.

This virtual family forum is free, but advance registration is required to attend. To learn more about this event go to WashtenawFan.org, and to register: https://bit.ly/wfan0521
