The Hamburg Township Historical Society invites the public to its museum to shop at its annual rummage sale of one-of-a-kind items donated by members and volunteers.

This year the sale is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 24 on the lawn of the museum, located at 7225 Stone Street in the old village of Hamburg. Among the merchandise available will be jewelry, holiday items, housewares, DVDs, sporting goods, camping equipment, and hangable art.

“We’ll also be raffling off gift baskets, with themes like Gone Fishing, Tea Time, Toy Trains, and Unicorn Fun,” noted the museum’s administrator Patricia Majher. Raffle tickets will be priced at $1 each or 6 for $5.

“All proceeds from the baskets and the rummage sale will go to a good cause,” added Majher. “We’ll use them to develop new exhibits, events, and educational programs that promote Hamburg Township history.”

An alternative date of Saturday, July 31 has been set, in case of bad weather.
