The Dexter Heritage Guild will present its annual Holiday Bazaar from 9:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 4th at the Dexter Area Museum, 3443 Inverness Street, across the street from St. Andrews Church. Museum visitors will find tables filled with a variety of handcrafted items from holiday wreaths and décor, ornaments, felted hats, one-of-a-kind shawls, winter hats and scarves, wonderful hanging hand towels, great gifts items, kids’ craft boxes, toys and comfy pillows for pets, the Guild’s signature scrubbies and more! There will be a Drawing and a Silent Auction the day of the bazaar and you don’t need to be present at the time of the drawing. The drawing will include: a quilted throw, a special Paul Cousins’ multi-nut torte, a gift certificate to the Encore theater and local restaurant and another basket with have a gift certificate and spa items. The Silent auction will be for 2 items: a wool blanket, “from sheep to end product,” and a needle felted 12” Santa, both made and donated by a local artist.

The Museum’s Corner Gift Shop will be open selling their own unique and variety of items.

The Bazaar bake sale will be open, selling a variety of deliciously baked treats, garden home canned treasures, plus special treats for our pets and freeze-dried delicious treats!

Please note, the Girls Scouts Holiday Bazaar & Christmas Cookie Market will be held at the St. Joseph Center located at 3430 Dover Street, from 9 am to 2 pm.

The Winter Marketplace at DUMC, located at 7643 Huron River Drive, will be open from 9 am to 3 pm.

When you shop at the Museum’s Heritage Guild’s Holiday Bazaar – whether you stock up on gifts for a teacher or a hostess, find a handmade treasure or just treat yourself to home-baked goodies – you’ll be supporting the preservation and operation of the Dexter Area Museum.
