Ugly Dog Distillery honored for its commitment to community

The 2020 Large Business Leadership Award Winner is Ugly Dog Distillery.

Every year, the Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce honors one of its members who demonstrates a commitment to strengthening the community and promoting a vital business environment.

The Chelsea Area Chamber announced Ugly Dog as the winner this week.

“On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber Ambassadors, we congratulate Ugly Dog Distillery on receiving the 2020 Large Business Leadership Award and thank them for their contributions to this community and the Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce.”

The Chamber said recipients for this honor have shown leadership in the following areas:

⦁ Contributing to the economic impact of the City of Chelsea.

⦁ Providing services that meet the needs of the Chelsea area community.

⦁ Enhancing the uniqueness of the community image.

⦁ Demonstrating leadership in their business category.

⦁ Supporting the activities of the Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce.

A note from the Sun Times News: One thing Ugly Dog did over the past year during the COVID pandemic was adjust their operations in order to make hand sanitizer, which they gave to different community groups.

The formal presentation of the 2020 Large Business Leadership award will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 - during the Annual Membership Meeting of the Chelsea Area Chamber of Commerce at Robin Hills Farm.

The 2020 Large Business Leadership Award winner will also have a place of honor in the Chelsea Fair Parade in August 2021.
