The Chelsea baseball team did not miss a beat after almost two years without playing a game together as the Bulldogs rolled to a doubleheader sweep of Grass Lake Tuesday, April 6.

The Bulldogs took the opener 15-0 in a three-inning mercy of the Warriors.

After Trevor Vosters struck out the side in the top of the first, the Bulldogs capitalized on four walks and a hit batter to plate eight runs in the bottom of the inning. Joe Taylor had a RBI double and Hunter Sciachitano a two-run single to spark the Bulldogs big inning and they cruised from there.

Sciachitano led the offense with three hits and two RBI, while Lucas Dunn added two hits, two RBI, and two runs scored.

Vosters helped himself with a hit and two RBI, while allowing just one hit and struck out six on the mound for the win.

Chase Kemp, Trenton Hill, and Dylan Dollinger each had a hit and two runs scored.

A pair of four-run innings lifted the Bulldogs to an 11-1 win in the nightcap.

Hunter Shaw and Lucas Dawson combined for 14 strikeouts and allowed just two hits in the game on the mound for Chelsea.

Dunn led the offense with two hits and three RBI, while Will Wilhelm added two hits.

Kemp, Brendan Westcott, and Logan Kilgore each had a hit and RBI, while Hunter Ferry and Hill each had a hit and run scored.
