The Chelsea girls' tennis team had an impressive showing at a home quad Saturday, April 17 after sweeping three matches and winning 20 of 24 individual matches on the day.
The Bulldogs defeated Flint Powers 8-0, St. Clair 7-1, and a strong Saline squad 5-3.
The four doubles teams all went 3-0 on the day.
Going undefeated were Amelia Loveland/ Adrienne Delong at one-doubles, Kendall Spink/Malina McGraw two-doubles, Natalie Bareis/ Kate Leisnner three-doubles, and Meghan Bareis/Megan Boughton four-doubles.
Anne-Marie Begola also went undefeated at 3-0 at four-doubles.
The Powers match saw the Bulldogs win all but one game in the eight matches with seven flights winning 6-0, 6-0 and the eighth 6-1, 6-0.
The St. Clair match saw three flights win 6-0, 6-0, and four win 6-1, 6-0.
Sierra Martinez-Kratz at two-singles and Rachel Bareis at three-singles each went 2-1 on the day, while Amanda Dosey went 1-2 on the day, including a hard-fought three set loss to her St. Clair counterpart.
The Bulldogs opened the season with a 7-1 loss to a strong Ann Arbor Pioneer team April 15.
The lone winner for the Bulldogs was Meghan Bareis and Megan Boughton 6-2, 6-1 at four-doubles.
