Chelsea Boys' Track and Field Wins LCC Relays

The Chelsea boys' track and field team claimed the top spot at the Lansing Catholic Central Relays Saturday. April 17.

The Bulldogs finished with 91 points, beating out SEC White rival Dexter with 75.

Will Barhite led the Bulldogs by winning the 110 hurdles and a second place finish in the 300 hurdles. He was also fourth in the high jump for the Bulldogs.

Connell Alford finished 2nd in the 3200 and Aiden McGuire second in the discus, while the 4x400 relay team of Andrew Sherwood, Owen Smith, Thomas Shemwell, and Jack Krugh also placed second.

Third place finishes went to the DMR team of Smith, Alford, Jimmy Alford, and Caden Faupel, Ryan Scott in the discus, the 4x200 team of Shemwell, Sherwood, Brandon Snyder, and Krugh, and the 4x100 team of Sherwood, David Berg, Nick Fisk, and Ryan Martin.

Scott in the shot, Snyder the long jump, and Erik Reiber 3200 earned fourth place finishes. 

Andrew Hilbert 110 hurdles, Jackson Dell 3200, and the 4x100 throwers relay team of McGuire, Zach Byerly, Riley Mickle, and Scott earned fifth place finishes.

Jimmy Alford 3200, Fisk high jump, and Hilbert 300 hurdles all earned sixth place finishes for Chelsea.
