Chelsea Tennis Takes Down Lincoln

The Chelsea tennis team was able to get some girls some varsity experience Thursday night as the Bulldogs took down Ypsilanti Lincoln 7-1 to improve to 4-1 overall on the season.

The Bulldogs started a line-up with nine different players then the one that was used at the home quad Saturday.

Rachel Bareis moved up to one-singles after competing in three on Saturday and came away with a 6-2,6-0 win.

The one doubles team of Meghan Bareis and Megan Boughton moved up from three-doubles to win 6-0, 6-0.

Izzy Barkey won a three set match at two-singles by taking the tiebreaker 10-7, while Natalie Roesner was victorious at three-singles 6-1,6-3.

Hayley Roush and Sarah Tillman teamed to win at two-doubles 6-0,6-2; Julia Hanselmanand Maddie Coy at three-doubles 6-0, 6-0; and Molly Jacobson and Haley Hilgendorf at four-doubles 6-0, 6-1.

The lone setback for the Bulldogs was at four-singles where Carlee Copeland dropped a hard-fought three set match in a tiebreaker 6-3, 4-6, 7-10. 

The Bulldogs host a home quad Saturday with some of the best teams in the Ann Arbor area coming to town as AA Huron and AA Skyline will travel to Chelsea.
