Chelsea Soccer Blanks Adrian

It took a few minutes to warm up, but once they did the Chelsea soccer team caught fire as the Bulldogs blanked Adrian 8-0 Tuesday.

The game was scoreless for just over four minutes, but Chelsea broke through and scored four goals in the next 2:30 to blow the game wide open.

Ava Hoffman started thing off at the 35:49 mark of the first half and just 17 seconds later Jessica Emmert hit Andrea Kowalski with a lead pass to send her in alone for a break away goal and a 2-0 lead.

Just over a minute later Erin Dusenbury found the net and 46 seconds later Kowalski scored her second of the game for a 4-0 Bulldogs lead.

With just over 20 minutes left in the half Addison McCarthy took a pass from Sasha French and drilled it home to make it 5-0 and McCarthy would score her second of the game with 20 seconds left by knocking home a crossing pass from Klara Kuebler.

Chelsea benefitted from an own-goal by the Maples to start the second half that was credited to Grace Lane for a 7-0 lead and Breigha Vowles ended the game by finding the net with 23:42 left to make the final 8-0.

The Bulldogs will return to action Saturday when thy travel to Dearborn Divine Child at 3:00 PM.
