Chelsea Lacrosse Splits Pair of SEC Matches

The Chelsea lacrosse team split a pair of SEC games last week, including a convincing 24-0 win over Ypsilanti Lincoln for the Bulldogs first win of the season Saturday.

Mitch Sumner had a huge game against Lincoln with six goals to lead the Bulldogs.

Logan Vaughn also had a big night by finding the net five time, while Cam Weatherwax added four goals.

AJ Tokarski, Liam Conti, and Tyler Wallgren scored two goals each, while Kellen Ahlstrom, Lucas King, and Ben Potter scored one each.

Harrsion Lantis made three save in net for the shutout win for the Bulldogs.

Chelsea dropped a see-saw affair with undefeated Tecumseh 7-5 Monday night.

The Bulldogs trailed 3-2 at the break but rallied to take a 5-4 lead after three quarters.

Tecumseh scored with 7:45 ;eft in the fourth to tie the game and it would stay that way until the final two minutes. The Indians scored with 1:18 left to take a 6-5 lead and 35 seconds later they found the net again to make it the 7-5 final.

Sumner led Chelsea with three goals, while Conti and Wallgren scored one each.
