The Dexter girls’ track team had an impressive showing at the SEC White Finals at Lincoln Friday coming home with a first-place finish and a second-place finish in the final overall league standings.
The Lady Dreads finished with a score of 153, beating out dual meet champion Chelsea with 133.5.
Amanda McGill led the Dreadnaughts with a pair of first place finish in the 3200 and was part of the winning 4x800 relay along with Megan O’Day, Kate Varitek, and Ashley Mitchell.
Mitchell was also second in the 800 and part of the 4x400 relay team that finished second with Gwenn Tatara, Hannah Berenson, and Gracie Burns.
Burns also earned third place finishes in the 200 and 400 races.
Josianne Mettes set a new school record by winning the pole vault with a height if 12’8”. Sophia Mettes was second in the pole vault and Makenzie Stock third as the Dreadnaughts swept the event.
Abby Marek won the discus with a PR of 104-01.
Hannah McComas was second in the 3200 and third in the 1600. Abigail Fox gave the Dreads a sweep in the 3200 with a third-place finish. Katie Krueger was second in the discus and Haley Craig second in the high jump, while Abigail Van Noord was third in the high jump.
The boys’ team set two new school records on its way to a third-place finish at the Finals.
Dexter finished with a team score of 114.5 in the meet won by Pinckney with 165.5.
The 4x100 relay team of Cole Cabana, Nathan Biggs, Micah Davis, and Cole Sheldon finished first in a school record time of 44.36.
The 4x400 relay team of Wilson Kasischke, Cabana, Davis, and Nathan Gariepy set a new school record of 3.28.52 and finished second.
Sheldon finished first in the pole vault and long jump, while Cabana was first in the 100 and Davis first in the high jump.
Gariepy finished second in the 400 and Noah Schultz second in the pole vault.
James Livingston was third in the shot put and Conor Kolka fourth in the 1600 for the Dreadnaughts.
