Chelsea Softball Takes Care of Jackson

The Chelsea softball team made quick work of Jackson Monday as the Bulldogs came home with a pair of 16-0 three inning wins over the Vikings.

Emilee Underwood and Emily McCalla each fired one hitters and the Bulldogs hitters pounded out 27 hits in just six innings between the two games.

Zoey Monica led the Bulldogs offense with three hits and five RBI in the opener.

Mya Purdy added three hits and an RBI, while Andi Evers had two hits and four RBI. Bekah Zachrich smacked a two-run homer and finished with two hits and two RBI. McCalla finished with a hit and two RBI, Katherine Thoms a hit and RBI, Nicole Roeser a hit and two runs scored, and Underwood a double. Underwood struck out seven in three innings work.

The Bulldogs scored seven in the second and eight in the third in the second game rout.

Purdy had a big game with a homerun and finished with three hits and five RBI. 

Zachrich had two hit and three RBI and Maddie Dunlap to hits and two RBI. Maggie Olaveson had a home run and finished with two hits and one RBI. Monica added a hit and two RBI, Amelia Robinson and Evers a hit and RBI each, and McCalla a hit and two runs scored. McCalla struck out four for the win.

The Bulldogs improved to 25-3 overall on the season and 14-1 in the SEC White.
