Eight Bulldogs Score in Chelsea Soccer Rout of Adrian

The Chelsea soccer team had eight different players score goals in an 8-0 rout of Adrian Tuesday night.

The win set up a back-to-back showdown with SEC White leading Pinckney Thursday and Saturday. The Bulldogs must win both games to claim a share of the league title with the Pirates. A win or tie by the Pirates clinches the outright league title for Pinckney.

It took some time for the Bulldogs to get going against the Maples Tuesday, but when they did break through they did not let up.

The game was scoreless for the first 11 minutes before Ava Hoffman drove in a long shot at 28:54 of the first half.

The flood gates opened after that for the Bulldogs.

Caroline Knight converted a penalty kick 2:30 later and Gabby Daugherty made it 3-0 at 24:08.

Kate Kreugh scored at 20:29, Andrea Kowalski 18:03, and Sasha French at 13:34 to make it 6-0 at the half.

The Bulldogs did not let up in the second half as Molly Mannor found the net at 31:38 to make it 7-0 and McKayla Collins ended it with a penalty kick to make the final 8-0.

Kowalski recorded three assists to go along with her goal. Jessica Emmert also added an assist for the Bulldogs.

Chelsea improved to 10-3-1 overall on the season.
