SYNOPSIS OF SEPTEMBER 2022 BOARD MEETING MINUTES

LYNDON TOWNSHIP – 17751 N. Territorial Road, Chelsea, MI 48118. Summary of Minutes, September 13, 2022—Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM. During Public Comment, a resident spoke on the Mid-Michigan Pipeline Project by Consumers Energy. Items Approved: Agenda, Consent Agenda, Payment of Bills as Presented. Both the Zoning Administrator and CAFA Representative summarized their reports to the Township Board. Multi Lakes Representative summarized his report to the Board and gave an update on the status of the Recreation Plan. WWRA Representative summarized his report to the Board and discussed contamination rates for recyclables. Deputy Supervisor reported on the number outages and what is being considered to reduce these. Items Approved: the quote from Taylor Electric for electrical maintenance as presented; Amend the budget to increase Maintenance $6,000.00 (TOWNHALL-BUILDINGS/GROUNDS) and decrease Fund Balance $6,000.00; the quote of $5,675 for gutter protection installation from All American Gutter Protection; Increase any expense of $250.00 to $1,000.00 that is not an office related expense for the Township elected officials, their deputies and the office manager and that such expense will be reported at the next regularly scheduled Township Board meeting; Reduce the bid amount of $20,000.00 to$5,000.00 and at least two sealed, competitive bids will be required for a Township project over $5,000; Appoint Gary Munce as Representative to WAVE for the term October 1, 2022-September 30, 2023 (1yr.) and Pam Byrnes as Alternate to WAVE for the term October 1, 2022-September 30, 1012 (1 yr.); Authorize the Supervisor to send a letter to Washtenaw County opposing the closing of the Chelsea District Court since it will impose additional hardships on Lyndon Township residents to use another district court. Meeting adjourned at 8:45 PM.
