Janice Ann Mohler (Jan) died peacefully at her home in Dexter, Michigan, on May 15, 2023 after a lengthy illness. She was 74.
Jan was born in Jackson, Michigan to Alan and Mildred (Griffith) Featherly. She graduated from Jackson Parkside High School in 1967 and went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in 1971 from Western Michigan University. She worked initially at Edwards Brothers in the estimating department. Later, she joined the Institute of Continuing Legal Education at the University of Michigan, where she worked in the customer service department.
Jan and Dave met while working on plays at the Saline Area Players in the mid-70s, and were married in 1976 in Vandercook Lake, Michigan.
Jan is survived by her husband David Mohler, brother Marc (Janet) Featherly, son Scott (Rebecca), daughter Jennifer (partner Mike), four grandsons and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents Alan and Mildred Featherly.
A memorial service is being planned for a later date.
