Bonnie Temple
Loving wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter of God, age 71, died Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Chelsea Hospital. She was born February 25, 1952 in Pontiac Michigan, the daughter of John Dominic and Doris May (Keeler) Rye. Bonnie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Chelsea. She was a Registered Nurse, earning Bachelor Degrees from MSU in polyscience and from U of M in nursing. She worked at Herrick Hospital in Tecumseh, Scripps Clinic in San Diego, CA, and at U of M until she was 55.
On December 8, 1973, Bonnie married John E. Temple in Taylor, MI and he survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Joscelyn (Paul) Temple Atkinson of Perrysburg, Ohio, and Noelle (Alex) Temple DeJesus of Washington D.C; four grandchildren; Julia, Elise, John, and Robert Atkinson; a brother Gary Rye of Ypsilanti; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Pamela McIntosh.
Bonnie requested there be no memorial service. Her ashes will be buried be at Oak Grove East Cemetery in Chelsea. Arrangements by Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea.
