Friends of CDL Purse & Jewelry Sale
This spring the Friends of Chelsea District LIbrary have been collecting gently used purses and jewelry from the community in order to organize a sale during Sounds and Sights on Thursday Nights nights in June. The response from the community has been overwhelming, and now we have so much inventory that we’re having two sales. In fact, as of this writing, we have more than 100 purses, 230 pairs of earrings, 180 bracelets and over 150 pins.
Both sales will be held on the Chelsea library lawn during Sounds & Sights on June 2 and June 16 from 5:30 to 8:30. The June 2 sale will feature bracelets, pins, earrings and medium and large purses. The June 16 sale will feature necklaces, rings, small purses and miscellaneous items.
The Friends of CDL have added a new position to its board, that of Merchandising chair. Last year during the holiday season, ornaments were sold as a fundraiser and it was a huge success. This jewelry and purse sale is another first for the Friends, and we hope to have a huge turnout.
