…and thanks for your interest in the City of Dexter and its City Council. Since my election to office in November 2020, I have distributed annotated meeting agendas (see below) prior to each Council meeting. These newsletters are my personal effort to make it as quick and easy as possible for interested parties to know what Council will be discussing and considering at each meeting. For the most part, descriptions of agenda items come straight from the meeting packet. PUBLIC HEARING @ 7 p.m.: Mill Creek Brewery Special Land Use Review
Per the official notice:
The purpose of the public hearings is to consider an application for special land use, for property located at 8180 Main Street (08-03-31-474-010). The applicant, Dexter Mill Holdings, LLC and the property owner, 76 Properties, LLC are proposing a 9,300-square foot restaurant, with an accessory nanobrewery, outdoor seating and bike rental and repair uses.
The subject site is zoned VC Village Residential District. Bars/lounges/taverns and commercial outdoor recreation are special land uses in the VC District.
A copy of the application is available for public inspection at the City Offices, 8123 Main Street, 2nd Floor, Dexter, MI 48130; weekdays between 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A copy is also available online at www.dextermi.gov.

Public comment may be provided during the meeting, either in-person or virtually, or submitted in writing at city offices, located at 8123 Main Street, 2nd Floor, Mon-Fri 9:00 am to 5:00 pm or emailed to the Office of Community Development firstname.lastname@example.org. All comments must be received no later than 5:00 pm the day of the meeting.
Anyone needing a sign language interpreter, or other assistance, must contact the City Manager, email@example.com, at least 72 hours in advance of the meeting. Minutes of all meetings are available on the city website, www.dextermi.gov.
