Dexter Baseball Sweeps Two from Lincoln


The Dexter baseball team bounced back from a pair of losses Saturday to sweep Ypsilanti Lincoln 9-2 and 16-0 to improve to 4-1 in the SEC White.

A big four run second inning gave the Dreadnaughts a 5-0 lead in the opener. A two-run double by Evan Krolewski was the big hit in the rally in the second.

The Dreads added a pair of runs without a hit in the fourth inning to make it 7-0 and they cruised to the win.

Krolewski led the offense with two hits and two RBI, while Cam Rosen and Nathan Deleruyelle each had a hit and two RBI. Braeden Fuson, Brennan Parachek, Davis Bennett, and Wyatt Novara had one hit apiece.

Rosen earned the win on the mound with nine K's.

Dexter scored seven runs in the first inning and five in the second as they rolled to the 16-0 three inning mercy in the nightcap.

Fuson had a big game with two hits and four RBI to lead the Dreadnaughts.

Joey Tessmer and Rosen each had a pair of hits and an RBI, while Parachek and Bennett each had a hit and three RBI. Krolewski chipped in with a hit and RBI, while Deleruyelle drove in a pair of runs.

Shay Ohtonen struckout six and allowed just one hit for the win for Dexter.
