Dexter Lacrosse Routs Lincoln in Home Opener (With Photos)

The Dexter boys' lacrosse team took the field at Al Ritt Stadium for the first time this season and found the net often as the Dreadnaughts routed Ypsilanti Lincoln 18-2 Friday night.

The Dreadnaughts dominated from the start with eight first period goals, including three in the opening two minutes of the game. 

AJ Gordon, Kevin Koenn, and Gabe Ward scored two goals each in the opening period with Gerzon Herzer and Johnny Sartori scoring one goal each.

The Dreadnaughts would slow things down to go through their set plays in the second, but continued to pour it on with four more goals including two more from Koenn as the lead grew to 12-1 at the half.

Dexter would add four more goals in the third as the lead grew to 16-1 and the Dreadnaughts would cruise to the win.

Koenn and Gordon scored four goals each to lead the Dreadnaughts.

Herzer and Ward both finished with three goals, Sartori two goals, and Collin Kennedy one.

Dexter improved to 2-2 overall on the season and 2-1 in the SEC White.
