Spiess, Thomas Dexter, Michigan
His Legacy… Thomas Franklin Spiess, age 86, passed away May 19, 2023. He was born on January 28, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan to Eleanor (Warson) Campbell and Curt Spiess. Tom married the love of his life, Suzanne Steeb, on November 25, 1961, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Tom will be remembered as a devoted family man and loyal friend.
In addition, he served his country for three years in the Marines, and then worked for 28 years as a Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Deputy. He received numerous commendations for his service.
His Family… Tom will be missed by his children, Frann, Cathy, and Adam (Michelle); grandchildren Hunter, Emma, Lily, and A.J. He is preceded in death by his wife, Suzanne, his mother, and stepfather Harlan Campbell, as well as several siblings.
His Farewell… Tom’s family and friends will gather Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel in Hamburg, Michigan. His Community Farewell will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023, and start at 11:00am (gathering at 10:30) at St. James Episcopal Church in Dexter, Michigan. Mother Carol Mader will serve as celebrant.
