Saline Track Teams Sweep Lincoln Spring Indoor Classic

The Saline boys and girls track and field teams came away with a sweep at the Lincoln Indoor Spring Classic Saturday.

The boys finished with 142 points, beating out Detroit Renaissance with 138.

First place finishes went to Joseph Fedoronko in the 1600, Nicholas Borneo long jump, and the 4x800 relay team of Nathan Luther, Ian Huckabone, Noah Pelletier, and James Harrison.

The Hornets had numerous second place finishes.

Luther was second in the 800, Jason Whitton the 1600, Max Pfeiffer 3200, Ian Gifford 60 hurdles, Ian Hanby shot put, Dolan Gonzales high jump, Brayden Stavros pole vault, and the 4x499 relay team of Nicholas Walper, Andrew Victoria, Joshua Baars, and Benjamin Faulkner.

Third-place finishes went to Nicholas Walper 100, Faulkner the 400, and Andrew Black 60 hurdles, Andrew Harding high jump, Gonzales pole vault, Carter Smith long jump, and the 4x200 relay team of Nicholas Borneo, Larry Robinson II, Joshua Brunty, and Victoria.

The girls dominated with 166 points, easily beating out Detroit Renaissance with 108.

Saline had five first-place finishes with Elaina Alig in the 1600, Aubrey Stager 3200, Jacquelyn Kolano pole vault, Nicole Warren long jump, and the 4x800 relay team of Mia Rogan, Madison Woods, Lauren Miller, and Claire Endres.

Second place finishes went to Ashton Davis pole vault, Tenley Schrzan 60 hurdles, Alig 800, the 4x400 team of Rogan, Woods, Alig, and Schrzan; and the 4x200 relay team of Bryn Batten, Schrzan, Warren, and Woods.

Endres in the 800 and Lucy Woehlke the 1600 earned third place finishes.
