The chairman of York Township's Planning Commission promised, Monday evening, to "get to the bottom" of why some property owners neighboring the proposed 120 megawatt solar farm were seemingly not notified of the public hearing for the project. Ranger Power will need the approval of the Planning Commission and Board of Trustees in both York and Augusta Township before breaking ground on the utility scale power plant, that they are building for DTE Energy.

Coronavirus Restrictions End In Sight As Vaccination Supply Increases

The restrictions on social gatherings and mask requirements can and will come to an end once at least 70 percent of Michigan's adult population gets inoculated against Covid-19. The Washtenaw County Health Department told the Sun Times News on the same day that Governor Gretchen Whitmer's administration announced the plan to gradually end health restrictions that vaccine supply has "finally caught up with demand" in its many vaccination sites.
