Southfield, Michigan

At age 74, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2018 at the Detroit VA Medical Center. He was born on July 23, 1944 in Toledo, Ohio the son of Howard and Marie (Ziegelhofer) Easton. 

Surviving are his children: Christopher (Shawnna) Easton of Holt, Lisa (Robert) Clouse of Chelsea, and their mother Geraldine (Lawniczak);  siblings Albert “Butch” Easton of Toledo, sister-in-law Sydney Easton of Florida, and grandchildren Christopher (Sam), Brent (Kate), Corinne, and Courtnee and one great granddaughter Lorelai. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Richard Easton and William Easton.


Howard had served in the United States Air Force from 1963-1965. He had lived in the metro Detroit area for the past 30 years, where he worked in applied graphics in Sterling Heights.  He also volunteered for several community service organizations. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and had a close community of wonderful friends that he enjoyed spending time with also he enjoyed his personal outdoor pond where he loved having Coy fish.

Graveside services will take place on Thursday, January 10, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI.
