The Human Rights Commission (HRC) of Chelsea met last week to continue to discuss how to get a significant response to their survey, as well as presenting their mission to local groups.
The HRC survey will be sent to Chelsea residents to help the commission gain insight from residents, businesses, and organizations on human rights priorities in Chelsea. The HRC will use the resulting information to plan activities and public awareness initiatives.
Answers to the survey will remain confidential and can be found on the City of Chelsea website.
In addition to continued conversation on how to best get the survey out there, the HRC decided to attend local farmers markets through at least June, with a table and paper copies of the survey readily available. In addition, they plan to attend the June 4 city council regular meeting to present their mission.
Also, it was decided that a member of the HRC of Adrian will visit in September to share information about activities and initiatives.
