Passed away at age 82, Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at the Chelsea Retirement Community Towsley Village. She was born August 20, 1934, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of John and Dorothy (Chamberlain) Yeoman.
June 14, 1952, she married Gerald E. Salow in Plymouth, MI, and he preceded her in death on September 6, 2011. Janice had lived in the area since 1956, coming from Plymouth, and was a member of the Stockbridge United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, and mowing her grass. The love of her life was her children, grandchildren, and many foster children. She was truly an angel to everyone she met.
Surviving are six children: Patrick (Karen) Salow of Stockbridge, Christopher (Heidi) Salow of Stockbridge, Paul (Kathryn) Salow of Ypsilanti, Sarah (Ryan) Henderson of Stockbridge, Thomas (Sherice) Salow of Leslie, and Amanda (Edmund) Partin of Stockbridge; one daughter-in-law, Janet Wilson of Stockbridge; 18 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Michael Salow in 1985 and Timothy Salow in 1980; an infant daughter, Cynthia Salow; and her brother Jeffrey Yeoman in 1961.
A funeral service took place October 13, 2016, from the Stockbridge United Methodist Church with Pastor Susan Trowbridge and Pastor David A. Selleck co-officiating. Burial followed at Oaklawn Cemetery, Stockbridge. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Stockbridge Community Outreach.
