Lady Dreads Fall to Bedford

The Dexter girls’ basketball team dropped a tough 33-22 decision to Bedford Friday, January 5.

The Dreadnaughts struggled on offense all night but kept the game close until the final couple of minutes when Bedford put it away at the line.

Bedford led 6-4 after one quarter and extended its lead to 15-9 at the half.

Dexter tried to rally in the third and cut the Mule lead to 21-16.

The Dreads cut into the lead more in the fourth getting within two, but the Mules pulled away at the ling in the end.

Sammi Corcoran led Dexter with 11 points, while Kylie Cabana added four.

Nicole Tuzinowski added three points, Mary Webby and Kendall Rosevelt two each.
