Nora Udrys headed home a free kick by Genesis Pena with five minutes left for the games only goal as Saline clipped Ann Arbor Skyline 1-0 last week.

Skyline had several chances in the second half, but the Hornet defense and goaltender Annika Udrys kept the Eagles out of the net.

The win kept the Hornets undefeated in the SEC Red going into Thursday’s battle with Ann Arbor Pioneer.

The game with Pioneer ended in a scoreless tie that Saline dominated everywhere but on the scoreboard.

Pioneer played a defensive game where they barely did any attacking and it frustrated the Hornets. Saline had several good opportunities late in the second half but could not break through.

Saline is 6-0-2 in the SEC Red and can clinch the Red title with wins this week.
