Synopsis of Regular Meeting Minutes
Monday, May 13, 2024 7:00 PM
Supervisor Luick opened the meeting at 7:00 PM with the Pledge of Allegiance. Board members present were Supervisor Duane Luick, Treasurer Nanette Havens, Clerk Ann Kwaske, Trustee Dale Luick, and Trustee Greg McKenzie. The agenda was approved with one modification. The Consent Agenda was approved.
In the first public comment, Marty Colburn, City Manager of Chelsea, introduced himself. J. Eisley talked about the poor condition of S. Dancer Road.
Two members of the Washtenaw County Road Commission gave an overview of projects planned for this year and answered questions from the public.
The board entered a closed session at 7:09 to discuss pending litigation with their attorney. The board resumed the open meeting at 7:43pm.
Reports were given. Of note, there may be an opening for a WAVE at-large representative and CACA has hired a new office manager. The Supervisor reported an error in the estimated tax revenue calculation for the 425 agreement with City of Chelsea.
The Twins Oaks private drive was tabled based on variances identified by township engineer. The 2024 Township Agreement with the Washtenaw County Road Commission for four projects was approved.
Next steps for the Township Hall Project are getting the final site plan completed, reviewed by the board, and sent to the Planning Commission. The board scheduled a special meeting on May 30th at 7pm to review the final site plan.
In final public comment B. VanRiper asked about a Pleasant Lake Drainage special tax assessment that some residents will receive this year and M. Colburn apologized for the 425 agreement calculation mistake.
