NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the qualified electors of Lima Township, County of Washtenaw
that a General Election will be held in Lima Township on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. The polls
will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the following location:
Precinct 1: Lima Township Hall, 11452 Jackson Road, Dexter, MI 48130
for the purpose of electing candidates for the following offices:
Electors of President and Vice-President of the United States; United States Senator;
Representative in Congress 6 th District; Representative in State Legislature 47 th District;
Member of the State Board of Education; Regent of the University of Michigan; Trustee
of Michigan State University; Governor of Wayne State University; Washtenaw County
Offices of Prosecuting Attorney, Sheriff, Clerk & Register of Deeds, Treasurer, Water
Resources Commissioner, Commissioner 1 st District; Lima Township Offices of
Supervisor, Clerk, Treasurer, Trustees; Judicial Positions of Justice of the Supreme
Court, Judge of Court of Appeals 3 rd District, Judge of Circuit Court 22 nd District, Judge of
Probate Court, Judge of District Court 14A District; Board Member of the Local School
District; Board Member Washtenaw Community College.
and to vote on the following proposals:
WASHTENAW COUNTY PROPOSAL 1, to authorize the county of Washtenaw to levy
0.200 mill for the purpose of providing funding to the County for the acquisition,
renovation, maintenance, upgrade, and operation of the County’s Enhanced Emergency
Communications System, for a period of ten years from 2026 through 2035.
WASHTENAW COUNTY PROPOSAL 2, to authorize the county of Washtenaw to levy
0.100 mill for the purpose of providing funding for the Washtenaw County Department
of Veterans Affairs for a period of eight years, from 2024 through 2031.
WASHTENAW COUNTY PROPOSAL 3, to authorize the county of Washtenaw to levy up
to 0.500 mill for the purpose of providing funding for activities and services for older
persons (age 60 or older) in Washtenaw County for a period of eight years, from 2024
through 2031.
WASHTENAW COUNTY PROPOSAL 4, to authorize the county of Washtenaw to levy
1.000 mills for the purpose of providing funding to the Washtenaw County Community
Mental Health Department, Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office, and local governments
which have their own police force for the purposes of improving the treatment of
people with mental health needs; providing increased financial support for mental
health crisis, stabilization and prevention; and for continued law enforcement, for a
period of eight years, from 2026 through 2033.
WASHTENAW INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL DISTRICT PROPOSAL, to permit the WISD to
continue to levy 2.3826 mills for the purpose of education of students with a disability,
for a period of 12 years, from 2026 through 2037.

Registered voters may obtain an application for an absent voter ballot from the Lima Township
Clerk’s office. All polling locations are accessible for voters with disabilities. Voting instructions
will be available in audio format and in Braille if requested of the Clerk in advance of the
election.
