PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED TEXT AMENDMENTS

Please take notice that a public hearing will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016, at 7:00 P.M. at a regular meeting of the Lyndon Township Planning Commission at the Lyndon Township Hall, 17751 N. Territorial Road, Chelsea, MI 48118.

At this meeting, the Planning Commission will consider and hold a public hearing on proposed amendments to the Lyndon Township Zoning Ordinance (“Zoning Ordinance”). The proposed revisions include deletion of reference to certificate of occupancy in Chapter 3, General Provisions; Chapter 16, Parking Requirements; and Chapter 19, Administration and Enforcement.  In Chapter 5, R-R Rural Residential District, there is a proposed addition to Special Land Uses and a change to the R-R District Regulations Table.  Proposed revisions also include changes to district regulations tables in Chapter 7, L-R Lake Residential and Chapter 8, L-C Lake Conservation District and an addition to the description in Chapter 8.  Other proposed revisions include Chapter 13, P-U-D Planning Unit Development, project densities, and minor changes in Chapter 14, Special Land Uses.  In Chapter 15, Site Plan Review, a proposed amendment is suggested to clarify roles of the Planning Commission and Township Board in application and review.

The Planning Commission is receiving written comments concerning the proposed amendments at the Lyndon Township Hall at 17751 N. Territorial Road, Chelsea, MI 48118.  Comments must be received by the Township prior to the start of the public hearing on November 3 2016, at 7:00 p.m.  A complete copy of the proposed revisions is available at the Township Hall.

This notice is posted in compliance with the Open Meetings Act, 1976 PA 267, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and published in compliance with the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act, 2006 PA 110.

Lyndon Township will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired and audio tapes of printed materials being considered at the meeting to individuals with disabilities at the meeting/hearing upon seven (7) days’ notice to Lyndon Township by writing or calling the following:  Linda Reilly, Clerk;  Lyndon Township Hall, 17751 N.
