The Manchester Flying Dutchmen Cross Country teams competed at the Nick Haynes Memorial Invite last week. The girls team tied for third with Dundee with 60 points. Ann Arbor Greenhills finished first with 54 points and Sand Creek second with 58.
The girls swept the podium, Jocelyn Booke (first in 21:57.26), Liz O’Hotzke (second in 23:10.66), and Mary Bradshaw (third in 23:44.47).
Devin Mackenzie (fifth in 20:31), and Seth Beerens (19thin 23:47) were top placers for the freshman and sophomore boys.
The first 20 in each race medaled as the Dutchmen begin their season.
“I have good numbers this year and they are working hard in their training,” said Manchester head coach Sarah McCaffrey. “I’m looking forward to seeing what our season can bring us.”
